Cultural Shifts is an open space for discussion, self-expression and freedom of speech. Our aim is to get people engaged with one another, to create new fora of learning and understanding, and to provide a safe space for the exchange of opinions, ideas and arguments.

PORNOGRAPHY AND OBSCENITY: Image and video content that contains any kind of legal nudity or sexually graphic material must be cleared with the editorial board before uploading. We are aware that these types of media are an immensely important part of culture, and thus do not discourage people from posting them. However, due to the sensitive legal nature of these media, we need to be informed before something goes up. We cannot and will not accept any images or video that contradict Canadian or International law.

COMMERCIAL USE: Cultural Shift(s) does not allow any promotion, advertising or services for commercial purposes, or links to commercial sites with the direct intent of promotion. The site is thoroughly not-for-profit.

HATEFUL CONTENT: Users may not publish material that promotes hate toward groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, and sexual orientation.

VIOLENT CONTENT: Users may not publish direct threats of violence against any person or group of people.

COPYRIGHT: It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. We ask that users have full permission from copyright owners before posting anything on the site, and that violations of copyright law are the responsibility of the poster.

PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: We do not allow the unauthorized publishing of people’s private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and driver’s and other license numbers.

IMPERSONATION: We do not allow impersonation of others through our services in a manner that is intended to or does mislead or confuse others. However, we do respect visitor’s right to maintain their privacy and anonymity when posting something

UNLAWFUL USE OF SERVICES: Our products and services should not be used for unlawful purposes or for promotion of dangerous and illegal activities. Your account may be terminated, your posts may be removed, and/or you may be reported to the appropriate authorities if you engage in such activity.
