Bad News, Local to Global

Well, I’m not sure if you’d call it bad news, but Ottawa Mayor Larry O’Brien was [1] charged today with attempted bribery during his 2006 electoral campaign. O’Brien beat out Alex Munter during that election over the issue of [2] tax freezing, though that [3] hasn’t turned out as planned.
On the international stage, Yvo de Boer, the UN climate chief has [4] accused Canada of being hypocritical in its stance on climate change. But, [5] does Canada even remain a player in addressing global climate issues?
