If you live in the US and are worried about surveillance, now you have to be wary of firefighters, who are being [1] trained by Homeland Security to report people who express discontent with the government. This is particularly frightening because firefighters can enter your property without a warrant (not that warrants are stopping surveillance [2] in other ways).

Elsewhere, a [3] recent speech from Pope Benedict states: “It is no accident that [atheism] has led to the greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice.” And here I was thinking that [4] it [5] was [6] the opposite.
